Geziret ElDahab - or the Island of Gold - is a car-free island in the Nile in front of corniche Maadi, and is only accessible by boat.
The island is home to the palace of Prince Naguib Hassan Abdallah, a grandchild of Circassian and Mamluk royalty.
Built in 1994, the palace maintains elements of Egyptian heritage and history, and its style belongs to the Mamluk architecture still present in the old neighbourhood of East Cairo.
Surrounded by the Nile, farmland and farmhouses, the Palace stands tall and is visible from across the island.

The bridal entrance will start at 3:30pm sharp, so please begin arriving at the boat pick-up spot from 3pm.

Address: Nile Crystal, Nile Corniche, Maadi, Cairo. The boat dock for the island is right next to Abou Bakr El-Seddick mosque
The bride and groom's entrance will be followed by dancing, dinner and the after-party.
Boats will be going back and forth to take guests from the Corniche to the Palace.
The boat ride across the nile to the island is approx. 5 mins.
Ladies, please note that the ceremony will take place on grass so choose your footwear accordingly.
